Is parenting that difficult??

Introduction

Sounds easy and everyone would say-yes, I do have. We live in the very fast paced world and we do not have time to see both our professional and personal lives in a microscopic way. Parenting skills are like all other skills which we develop during the upbringing of our children but the question is are we effectively doing our role as a parent in every stage of our children?

When we develop

We enter into the nuptial world and within 10 months a baby sits in our lap. Few are fortunate with their parents living around and taking care of their grand children and in most of the cases; the challenge is in the nuclear family. We learn the skills amidst the pressures of our own life, monetary limitations etc. It is a huge responsibility that lies with us and when we learn the skills perfectly, we give the best human beings to the world and when we fail, we end up being a liability to the society.

Impact

Children come into this world as a “clean slate” but slowly they learn from the home, society and the environment and fall into the negativism and develop wrong ideas to survive in this world. There comes the duty of the parents to bring them up positively and the impact is huge. They are like clay and it is the parents who make them as beautiful pot. Infact children are lot more easier to teach at the young age as they are like a “clean slate”

Parents’ role

It is the role of the parents to spend time amidst their busy schedule / day to day work. There are various methods and children never forget the time parents have invested in them. Like, talk to each other in the dinner time, discuss about any topics and make them to think and show a way to educate and most importantly keep the mobiles away for some time. When technology was at the nascent stage, we sat together, talked and laughed but when the technology is at the advanced stage, the togetherness has separated the family. All requires planning and the effective skills will be highly useful by playing the parents role. Talk to children whenever you face an obstacle / problem so they would get an example of how struggles can be faced from the parent’s experience. What we do in our houses is we say children to go inside the room when elders are discussing. Sometimes you could get answers from them.

Journey

The journey will be tiring and exhausting at sometimes but at the end it will be very sweet and rewarding and the journey will end with a sweet note at your grave that you have done a splendid role for the society and for the generations to come.
